Shaman Z-Wear PM Sprint Run, the impetus for this knife was the iconic Native, Spyderco's flagship product for decades. This advanced folder offers improved ergonomics, but in a full-size version. The Shaman is one of the best EDCs out there. Manufactured in Spyderco's factory in the USA (Golden, Colorado).

The blade of the knife is made of Z-Wear PM, a cold working powder tool steel enriched with vanadium, tungsten and molybdenum which provide exceptional hardness and wear resistance.

Compression-Lock - patented by Spyderco (made in USA) head locking mechanism. Extremely durable, provides extreme strength and ease of use.

Blade - Drop Point profile, satin finish. Plain blade is Full Flat Grind for excellent cutting-edge geometry with sharp tip. Enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) for quick knife opening. Long grooved thumb rest upper jimping on back of blade and finger choil (undercut for index finger between handle and cutting edge) make it easier to control the knife.
Handle - profiled, matt anti-slip micarta handle (durable material, resistant to high and low temperatures and chemicals). Robust metal hourglass clip with 4-way clip positions (up/down, right/left). In the back of the handle an enlarged hole for the safety cable.

Skeleton - reinforced with two stainless steel plates to which facings are attached with enlarged torx screws. This provides high strength with little weight of the knife. The open-backed design simplifies cleaning and maintenance of the folder.
