Böker Plus OTF Eagle 2.0, Two-Tone Finish D2 by Raimund Lhotak (06EX243)

Eagle 2.0, Aluminum, Two-Tone D2, automatic OTF (Out The Front) knife with a front retractable blade thanks to a strong spring. It works in D/A (Double Action) mode which means that with the use of a slider you can extend and retract the blade. Designed by well known Austrian knifemaker Raimund Lhotak, whose designs are convincing by clear and progressive forms.

The designer paid special attention to the design of the spring, the opening of the blade takes place within a few hundredths of a second. During the opening / closing of the blade the automatic makes a characteristic sound (click). In this model, the moment of force during unfolding/folding of the blade pleasantly jerks the hand, which shows what power lies in the springs of Böker Plus knives.

Steel

D2 - high carbon tool steel. With a high content of 10-13% chromium, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and resistance to abrasion.

Blade

Straight Back type with wave shaped Recurve cutting edge used in good tactical and survival knives. Plain blade is Hollow Grind for excellent cutting qualities and finished in a visually dynamic Two Tone method. There is a false edge at the top of the blade. This allows the knife to have excellent piercing qualities while maintaining high strength. Mechanism of extending / retracting the blade by means of a mottled slider requiring for safety reasons to apply a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The way of opening ensures trouble free opening for both right and left handed people.

Handle

Made of aluminum alloy coated with titanium in black. Thanks to the texture of the coating the knife does not slip in the hand during use. At the bottom of the handle are notches (jimping) for a more secure grip. Slim design allows you to hide the knife in any pocket. One-position clip (right side), allows you to carry the knife in tip-down position.
