Karambit - a type of knife, which was born in Indonesia, with roots in Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by a finger ring and sickle-shaped blade, which is characterized by great cutting efficiency. Hawkbill mimics the way an eagle's claw or a tiger's claw rips through, piercing and cutting simultaneously. Used as a working knife and for defense.
AISI 440A (American Iron and Steel Institute) - an easy-to-sharpen stainless knife steel, equivalent to Japanese AUS-6 steel. A high content of 16.0% chromium and an average of 0.6% carbon provide excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of <1.0% silicon and <0.75% molybdenum increase the steel's strength and wear resistance. 440A has a high hardness in the range of 55-59 HRC.
Blade - Hawkbill type finished with a non-reflective matte BC (Black Coated) coating. The curved shape of the blade is characterized by great efficiency and speed of cutting. Hawkbill mimics the way an eagle's claw or a tiger's claw rips through, piercing and cutting at the same time. The shape of the blade allows you to control the object being cut, keeping it on the curved sharpened edge, preventing it from slipping off the end of the blade. It works well in extreme situations, easily handling the cutting of even thick webbing, cords or ropes. The solid thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance combined with tremendous durability. The washers support the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper) or with a double-sided stud in the blade (Double Thumb Stud). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid Liner Lock.
Handle - made of gold-dyed aluminum. The chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the jimping made on the front on the liners improves grip security. Milling and holes give the handle an industrial style. A single-position, right-side deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-down position (blade tip down). A finger hole allows you to hang up an unused knife on your finger without putting it down. It is finished with a glass breaker, a small tab that allows you to break glass safely in case of an emergency.
