AUS-10 - Japanese stainless steel, often compared to 440C series steel, and for good reason, as the compositions are similar, but these minor differences make AUS-10 harder (hardened usually to around 60 HRC) and dulls more slowly, without losing its rust resistance. Knives made of this steel are relatively cheap and will be a great choice if our budget is not too high and we care about stainless.
Blade - modern tanto type, with reinforced tip, finished masking minor scratches and anti-glare with Bead Blasted method. The long cutting edge in relation to the Blade's length converges with a geometric belly towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the blade advancement mechanism. The flipper's flipper fin, when opened, forms a mini-guard preventing your hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The deep choil makes the knife easier to grip for precision work. Liner-Lock mechanism.
Handle - orange G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) grips, textured for improved grip confidence, screwed to the knife's steel frame. The open-backed design, so called, fastened together with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. The simple, sturdy design gives assurance of many years of use. A deep, contoured finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip confidence. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized Kubey Knife brand logo. A single-position (right-hand) metal deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in the tip-up (blade tip up) position.
