FOX & Mil-Tac Collaboration by Patrick Nihiser (FX-MTF5)

The FX-MTF5 is the perfect E.D.C. folder, the fruit of a collaboration between Fox and Mil-Tac. A project by the American knifemaker Patrick Nihiser, a former marines. The shape of the handle for users who appreciate a wide range of knife holder styles.

N690Co - high-carbon stainless steel blade with the addition of cobalt for structural homogeneity. Hardened in the range of 58-60 HRC. Produced in the Austrian Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks.

Physical Vapor Deposition Gun Met - the durability of the surface and edge of the blade has been increased by the PVD method involving the deposition of thin layers from the vapor phase. The applied coating has a very high hardness, which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to rust and abrasive wear.

Blade - with a Drop Point profile with a Recurve edge in the shape of a wave that provides above-average cutting properties. A smooth blade (Plain type) with a clearly marked belly was made with a flat cut (Full Grind). On the sides of the blade, Thumb Stud pins for opening the blade. Blockade - Liner-Lock type.

Handle - 3D machined, smoothly polished G10 claddings. Open-backed design reduces weight, makes cleaning easier. The right / left side deep-pocket clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in the pocket in the tip-up position with the tip up. Spine jimping, notches on the back of the handle for better grip.
