N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - massive, 6.3 mm thick, with a long false edge on the spine. The Drop Point profile and Recurve cutting edge provide good cutting performance and work well in outdoor, survival, hunting, and tactical applications. The blade is coated with a non-reflective, matte MIL-C-13924 Burnishing finish. The smooth Plain cutting edge is ground with a high Flat Grind, ensuring good cutting efficiency. The part of the blade extending beyond the outline of the handle acts as a guard, reducing the risk of the hand slipping toward the edge during use.
Handle - covered with non-slip, textured scales with rubber-like properties. Made from Forprene thermoplastic elastomer, which combines elastic recovery, softness, and resistance to chemical agents, it provides a secure grip even with wet hands. Sheath - tactical, made of abrasion-resistant and waterproof black Cordura, allowing quick knife draw. The snap-fastened case securely protects the knife against accidental falling out. Compatible with the M.O.L.L.E. (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment), standard, it allows the sheath to be attached to MOLLE webbing and carried on a belt or tactical gear. The lower strap fastened with Velcro allows additional attachment to the thigh.
