This knife is to ensure effective work of people under the greatest pressure, pressure to save human life, when every second decides about human life or death.
Blade - Assist profile, 3 mm thickness, made of Japanese VG-10 stainless steel (high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage) hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. The blade ended with a blunt, oval tip, which protects the rescued person during the rescue operation. The wavy pattern on the back of the blade and the handles allows the knife to be put in a semi-open position, and use the folder as a rope shears. The blade is covered with a scratch resistant, matte non-reflective TICN (Non-Reflective Titanium Carbonitride) coating. Blockade (Back-Lock) blade with additional pro tection against accidental release of the lock (notch in the blockade) of David Boye's project.
SpyderHole - above the enlarged 14 mm round cutout (patent Spyderco) rises the Cobra Hood which sets the thumb directly above the hole allowing quick opening of the knife also in the glove. Cobra Hood simultaneously increases the support hump for the thumb (notched ramp)
Combination Edge - (partly serrated) often used in tactical, rescue and survival knives. The unique Spyderco blade consists alternately of one large and two small teeth called „two-step”. This pattern increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% compared to the straight edge. The Combination blade has been brought out with a concave cut (Hollow Grind). In 80% it is a serrated Spyder blade for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibrous materials, including ropes, belts and in 20% (1 inch) classic smooth blade Plain, used for precise cutting, eg. cutting clothes.
Handle - in black color. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), fiberglass-reinforced nylon, Bi-Directional Texturing for an excellent glove handle as well as greasy, dirty or moist hands. The knife is equipped with a screwed wire clip (left / right-handed) that allows you to carry the knife in the tip-up position (tip up). At the end of the handle, there is a glass hammer breaker, which, after a strong compression of the handle, opens ready for use. With it, we can quickly break up any even reinforced car window. There is a signaling whistle on the side of the handle.
