Blade - with the Drop Point profile, ensures perfect cutting edge geometry at low friction. Made of good sharpness, easy to sharpen 8Cr13MoV stainless steel (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8). The blade is covered with a durable, matt oxide coating in black color, was made with full flat cut (Full Flat Grind). The corrugated back of the blade - - ramp positions the thumb and gives a solid support. Arcuate undercut of the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge (finger choil jimping) facilitates folder handling. Comet-shaped notch (Spyderco patent) for quick blade opening. Blade blockade: Back-Lock type with protection against accidental release of the lock. Cutout in the blockade of David Boye's design.
Combination Edge - (partly serrated), a combination of two types of serrated Spyder blades for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics, fibrous and smooth Plain for precise cuts. The Spyder blade consists of one large and two small teeth alternately, called „two-step”. This pattern increases the cutting edge length by up to 24% compared to a straight blade.
Handle - solid claddings made of stainless steel covered with black oxide coating. The bolted construction ensures a precise fit of all elements for maximum efficiency. The phosphor bronze pads ensure trouble-free smooth opening and closing of the penknife. Metal hourglass clip with the possibility of fixing in four planes (up / down, right / left) 4-way clip positions. The gap (lanyard hole) allows you to attach a security rope.
