Sleipner - chrome-molybdenum-vanadium high alloy universal tool steel head with high wear and chipping resistance. Achieves high hardness of 60-62 HRC. Manufactured in Uddeholm steelworks in Sweden.
Blade - massive Drop Point profile with clearly marked belly provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The Plain blade has a Flat Grind, which perfectly shows off the matte black Mil Spec finish. The IKBS assisted flipper / overhang located on the underside of the blade makes it easy to open the blade. In the open position it serves as a lower guard for the single-sided hilt protecting the hand from slipping off the handle.
IKBS - (ball bearing system) allows fast, smooth opening of the blade.
Frame-Lock - reinforced, monolithic locking mechanism of the Ergal aluminum blade. One of the facings serves as a locking mechanism, is reinforced with hardened steel insert.
RotoLock - lock with a patented additional locking mechanism in the shape of a titanium shield by Gianni Pauletta. When the knife is open, turning the RotoLock about 1/8 of a turn clockwise wedges the locking mechanism, preventing unintentional release of the blade lock, provides the same stability of the blade as in knives with a fixed blade.
Handle - made with Solid® Knife technology, derived from a single piece of Ergal aluminum, machined in 4D. This results in a monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength, which is a solid structural element. The grip facings were CNC machined to obtain an anti-slip texture. Two-position left / right compact clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. Bolted to the aluminum frame with a tungsten carbide screw/glass breaker. In the back of the linings lanyard hole, a hole for a cord.
