K390 MICROCLEAN® - is a true “supersteel” for those who can't stand frequent sharpening. Thanks to powder technology and a huge vanadium content, it offers extreme hardness and legendary cutting aggression that is hard to find in ordinary knives. It's made for the toughest tasks, although as a tool steel it requires a bit of attention - over time it will be covered with a noble patina, which will only emphasize its working character. The composition includes Carbon (2.47%), Chromium (4.13%), Vanadium (9.00%), Molybdenum (3.75%), Cobalt (2.00%), Tungsten (1.00%). Manufactured at the Böhler-Uddeholm smelter in Austria.
Blade - with Clip Point profile from hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC, powder steel K390 MICROCLEAN. Plain blade has a Full Flat Grind which reduces the weight of the knife and improves cutting performance. Round SpyderHole notch makes opening the blade easier. Notched part of the back of the blade, ramp (jimping / crosshatching) positions the thumb, gives a solid support and makes it easier to operate the folder. Back-Lock with additional Boye Detent, preventing accidental release of the lock when the knife is firmly gripped.
Handle - in the elite blue color reserved for knives with K390 MICROCLEAN steel blade. The non-slip Bi-Directional Texturing and the notched Spine Jimping on the back of the handle strengthen the grip even with wet hands. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) plastic, a fiberglass reinforced nylon. Metal hourglass clip with 4-way clip positions (up/down, right/left). Lanyard hole in back of handle for cord.
Skeleton - steel plates with cut out holes, to which linings are attached. This provides high strength and stiffness at low weight of the knife. Reinforced, fully dismantled construction connected by torx screws. Phosphor bronze washers make it easy to open and close the pocket knife.
