K390 MICROCLEAN - state-of-the-art powdered cold work tool steel. Hardened to 62-66 HRC. Advanced alloy composition with a high vanadium, tungsten and cobalt content ensures strength and excellent sharpness. Manufactured in the Austrian steel mill Böhler-Uddeholm.
Blade - Leaf-Shaped, 2.5 mm thick. Finished with an elegant satin finish. Smooth plain blade with a full flat grind. The flat grind ensures a perfect cutting edge geometry with a sharp tip and reduces the weight of the knife. Round SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened with the thumb. Robust Back-Lock with additional Boye Detent to prevent accidental release when the knife is firmly gripped. Fluted thumb ramp and Finger Choil, a contoured cut-out between the handle and the cutting edge for the index finger, make it easier to handle the knife.
Handle - made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) plastic. Bi-Directional Texturing on the grips ensures a perfect hold, even with wet hands. The fluted ramp and the spine of the handle, the so-called Spine Jimping, increase the grip. The screw-on wire clip (left/right) allows the knife to be carried in a tip-up position (with the tip of the blade facing upwards). At the back of the handle, there is a lanyard hole.
