Warning and Safety Information for the KnifeMore

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.

Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.

A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.

When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.

Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

Aquatys Green-Black PP-TPE, PTFE Green Camu is a compact back-up diving knife with an attractive PTFE Green Camu coating. This practical tool is suitable both for diving expeditions and for tasks performed on land. The model has been designed to be mounted on diving equipment as a spare safety tool for quick use underwater. The knife is made from W 1.4060 nitrogen-enriched stainless steel, which provides excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and high cutting performance. The PP + TPE handle ensures low weight, moisture resistance, and a secure grip in a wet hand or diving glove. Thanks to its design, Aquatys is an essential piece of equipment for every diving expedition, especially as a back-up knife for quickly cutting ropes, straps, or other obstacles underwater.

1.4060 (MA5 / X35Cr16N) is a martensitic nitrogen stainless steel with high hardness and very good corrosion resistance. This grade is similar to X46Cr13 steel, but thanks to the addition of nitrogen it offers a favorable combination of hardness, strength, and corrosion resistance. After proper heat treatment, MA5 / X35Cr16N / 1.4060 steel can reach a hardness of up to approximately 60 HRC, while maintaining high resistance to moisture and marine environments.

Regular maintenance of 1.4060 stainless steel (MA5 / X35Cr16N) prevents the formation of deposits and maintains its luster. It also facilitates the removal of spots and tarnishes. Cleaning should be done before there is a visible layer of dirt or fingerprints, so the danger of permanent discoloration of the steel surface is minimized. For cleaning, do not use agents that contain: chlorine, salt, acids and bleach.

PTFE – polytetrafluoroethylene, widely used in the coating industry, is an ultra-fine, low-molecular-weight material obtained through a special technological process. It is characterized by excellent chemical resistance, resistance to weather conditions and high temperatures, thermal stability, non-stick properties, electrical insulation, flame resistance, and self-lubricating properties. The use of PTFE as a blade coating reduces friction during use, which translates into less force required for various types of tasks. Blades coated with PTFE required, on average, 22% less force during cutting and showed a 26% lower maximum force compared to chrome-coated blades.

Blade - the Drop Point blade offers very good cutting performance and has been ground with a Flat Grind. The blade features a fully serrated (Serrated) cutting edge with a short, several-millimetre plain section near the tip. The unique serrated edge consists alternately of one large tooth and three smaller teeth, creating the so-called Three-Step pattern. This geometry increases the length of the cutting edge by up to 24% compared to a plain edge. This solution performs particularly well during intensive cutting of hard materials, plastics, and fibrous materials such as ropes or nets. The blade is coated with a protective PTFE Green Camu coating. After each use, the blade should be washed in fresh water and lubricated.

Handle – in green and black, covered with non-slip, textured scales with rubber-like properties. The scales are made from thermoplastic elastomer, also known as thermoplastic rubber TPE, combined with PP polymer. This material provides a secure grip in aquatic environments, even with a wet hand or while wearing a diving glove. The ergonomic shape of the scales reduces the risk of the hand slipping during use. The handle butt is finished with a steel hammer.

Sheath - made from ABS plastic, with openings that allow water and moisture to drain away. It is equipped with a locking latch that prevents the knife from accidentally slipping out during diving. The holster comes with two rubber straps and two plastic buckles, allowing the knife to be mounted on the arm, leg, or diving vest.
