N690Co - a high-carbon stainless knife steel with added cobalt for structural uniformity. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Carbon (C) 1.07% and cobalt (Co) 1.65% make it a very hard steel. It has been vacuum hardened and then freeze hardened to a hardness of 58-59 HRC. At this level of hardness, it provides good cutting edge retention and excellent wear resistance. so the blades stay sharp longer. Due to its high chromium (Cr) level of 17.3%, blades made of this steel will not rust, even when used in damp, wet or salty environments. Manufactured at the Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks in Austria.
Blade - wide Drop Point type blade with stone wased. Despite its thickness the full flat point grind provides excellent cutting properties combined with superb durability. Low descending guard protects fingers from slipping on the blade during work. Finger guards on the back of the blade.
Handle - green Canvas Micarta facings attached directly to the blank. This is the simplest and safest construction ensuring practical indestructibility of the knife. Comes with a brown leather scabbard allowing you to carry the knife vertically or horizontally on your belt. At the back of the handle there is a lanyard hole for attaching a safety or decorative line.
Scabbard - extended, protecting the blade together with a part of the handle. Hand sewn, made of high quality natural leather in brown color with embossed manufacturer logo. The edge of the case was stitched with decorative thread. The case is fastened with a Prym-type clasp. The pouch is attached to the belt or to the equipment, allowing to carry the knife in vertical or horizontal position.
