DragonFly 2 Salt Lightweight Yellow Plain, the second generation of the ultralight, compact E.D.C. folder with an undercut head that increases control over the knife. Thanks to the improved ergonomics of the Spine Jimping grip and the proportion of the head to the handle, we have the impression of working with a much larger folder. The cutting capabilities of the knife are surprising in comparison with its small appearance and innocent name DragonFly (dragonfly).
DragonFly is one of the most valued folders in the SALT line. Ultralight, it works in all conditions, even the most extreme ones. Made of unique H1 steel adapted to long-term contact with moisture, resistant to salt and rust. Knives made of this steel are in demand among sailors, divers, anglers, fishermen and survival enthusiasts.
H-1 - the blade is made from the Japanese Myodo Foundry, a high-chromium, low-carbon (rolled without heat treatment) H-1 stainless steel with a hardness of 57-58 HRC. It contains 14-16% chromium, 0.15% carbon, 3-4.5% silicon and 1% nitrogen. All internal parts of the steel have undergone a special treatment, making them resistant to rust and salt. The knife can stay in water, including sea water, and will not rust even if left wet after use.
Leaf-shaped blade with Satin Finish (semi-matte). The small thickness of the blade in combination with the Hollow Grind enables effective, deep cuts. The round SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows opening the knife with the thumb. Solid Back-Lock with additional Boye Detent cut-out to prevent accidental release of the lock when the knife is firmly gripped. The notched thumb ramp and the Finger Choil profiled undercut for the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge make it easier to operate the knife safely.
