Balisong (butterfly / batangas / taal / butterfly) a kind of folding knife used for defense. Folder derives its name from Balisung in the Philippines meaning singing butterfly. Dating back to the 7th century AD, it is considered one of the oldest weapons in the Kali fighting system. It is one of the most recognizable types of knives in the world.
Blade - sharp Drop Point with a thickness of 2.7 mm. Made of easy to sharpen 440A stainless steel, characterized by high resistance to corrosion. Plain blade has a Flat Grind, which provides excellent cutting properties. At the tip we have a Flat Grind in the lower part of the blade and a false blade in the upper part. This gives the knife excellent piercing qualities while maintaining great strength. After unfolding, the back part of the blade creates a guard that prevents fingers from slipping on the blade.
Handle - made of stainless steel with Pakka wood inlays. In addition to aesthetic advantages, they improve grip security. In the rear part of the handle there is a latch that clips the handle arms in both closed and open position. The axis of rotation of the arms has pivot-pins attached. A clip is mounted on one of the arms allowing the knife to be carried in tip-up position.
