14C28N - martensitic chrome stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% and increasing the chromium content 14.0%, as well as adding nitrogen 0.11%, the corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!

Blade - gray hand rubbed drop point. The thick belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade, converging towards a needle-sharp tip of the knife. Low blade thickness combined with a high Hollow Grind provides excellent cutting characteristics combined with high durability. Ceramic ball bearings support the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper creates a mini-guard to prevent your hand from slipping on the blade. Frame lock mechanism.

Handle - grips made of hand ground brass (Black Hand Rubbed), side with lock made of hand ground stainless steel. In practice it means many years of work without weakening the construction. Open-backed construction without typical backspacer, fixed to each other with steel spacer sleeves facilitates cleaning in the field. The pivot is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo. Lanyard hole, oval hole for cord which can also be used to attach a steel key ring (included).
