It is a combination of unique materials, cryogenic processing and machining to produce the best tools for woodworkers. Each chisel is marked with the trademark Richter Extra.
Forged from high quality steel Cr-V, chisels were subjected to cryogenic treatment. Immediately after the initial hardening, using liquid nitrogen cools the steel to very low temperatures down to -190° C. This increases both the hardness (at least 62 HRC), as well as the strength of steel.
The chisels have solid stainless steel hardware and a leather pad to absorb vibrations. The set is packaged in a wooden box.
