Steel
Nitro-V chrome-based martensitic stainless knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron (NJSB). The manufacturer used the existing superior AEB-L knife steel and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially critical in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives because of its stain and corrosion resistance. The recommended working hardness is between 58-62HRC, and it has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels such as M390, Elmax and S35VN. Therefore, Nitro-V will be a good fit for knives that require good strength.
Blade
Satin finished clip point type. The small thickness of the blade combined with the high concave grind allows you to quickly perform any slicing and cutting task. The blade is mounted on ceramic ball bearings which support the blade opening mechanism. Thanks to them you can efficiently unfold the folder using a quick flipper which after opening acts as a blade hilt. All locked with proven liner lock.
Handle
Chamfered G10 (glass fiber compressed with synthetic resin) in natural color, attached to stainless steel liners. Surface of the liners with tactile texture for better grip. Simple, solid construction gives assurance of many years of use. Backspacer is made of the same material as the handle facings. The pivot is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo. Metal two-position deep left/right ascetic deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position. Backspacer recess, lanyard hole, cord hole.
Carrying case
Comes with a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transport of the folder.
