Balisong (butterfly / batangas / taal / butterfly) kind of folding knife used for defense. Folder derives its name from the village Balisung in the Philippines meaning butterfly singing. Dating back to the 7th century AD, it is considered one of the oldest weapons in the Kali fighting system. It is one of the most recognizable types of knives in the world.

Steel

440A - easy to sharpen, stainless knife steel, equivalent to Japanese AUS-6 steel. High content of 16.0% chromium and average 0.6% carbon provide excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of <1.0% silicon and <0.75% molybdenum increases the steel's strength and wear resistance. 440A is characterized by high hardness in the range of 55-59 HRC.

Blade

Sharp Clip Point blade with a thickness of 2.7 mm. Made of easy to sharpen 440A stainless steel, characterized by high resistance to corrosion. Plain blade with Flat Grind for excellent cutting properties. At the tip we have a Flat Grind in the lower part of the blade and a false blade in the upper part. This gives the knife excellent piercing qualities while maintaining great strength. When unfolded, the back part of the blade creates a guard that prevents fingers from slipping on the blade. Reinforcement strengthens the blade while relieving it.

Handle

Made of stainless steel with inserts from exotic wood. This construction in addition to aesthetic advantages, improves grip and reduces the weight of the knife. In the rear part of the handle there is a latch that secures the handle arms in both closed and open positions. The axis of rotation of the arms has pivot-pins attached.
