RWL34 - manufactured by powder metallurgy based on ATS34 steel developed by the Japanese company Kobe Steel for ball joint applications. Internationally renowned knife maker Robert W. Loveless began using this Japanese steel for knives because of its amazing properties. Damasteel has improved the properties of ATS34 steel by powder metallurgy, producing a purer material. The martensitic steel produced by powder metallurgy was given the name RWL after Loveless' initials. RWL34 is an ideal choice for knife makers, provides extreme edge retention, excellent corrosion and wear resistance, and is easy to machine.
Blade - extremely sharp with Drop Point shape, perfect for survival and hunting applications. Smooth Plain blade was derived with Full Flat Grind, which gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The molding of the blade forms a lower hilt that protects the hand from slipping on the blade.
Handle - made of black polished Micarta (pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin). Contoured surface of the facings for comfortable grip. The handle was riveted directly to the tang, making the whole structure very rigid and durable. In the back of the Lanyard Hole, a hole for threading a belaying or decorative cord.
Sheath - hand-stitched, made of thick, natural leather in brown color with embossed manufacturer's logo. Attaching to the belt or to the shoulder stock allows the knife to be carried in an upright position.
