M390 Microclean® - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of "wire" during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - Clip Point type with clearly marked belly highlights the elegant satin finish of the blade. The solid thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind), results in excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing system supports smooth and quick one-handed opening of the blade with Thumb Studs located on the sides of the wedge. A notched thumb ramp support on the Blade's back (spine jimping) makes the knife easier to use. The entire blade is locked with the reliable and proven Advanced Back Lock.
Handle - beveled grips made of Canvas Micarta, pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin. Textured for improved grip confidence and bolted to the knife's steel frame. The simple, secure design provides assurance of years of use. Fore finger groove improves grip confidence. Right-side single-position deep-carry clip made of titanium, allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position (tip up). Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for a belay rope.
