Native 5 Salt FRN Green fifth generation Native folder, one of the most desirable folders in the SALT line. Now made of ultra corrosion resistant steel, the LC200N can stay in water, including sea water, it will not rust, just wipe it off after use.
LC200N - (also known as Z-Flint) ultra corrosion resistant newer high nitrogen martensitic tool steel. Quite hard (60 HRC), it provides a combination of excellent strength, edge holding, chipping resistance and extreme corrosion resistance. Produced through a combination of the PESR process (pressurized electric slag remelting) and smart forging technology, resulting in an incredible increase in steel purity and a very fine, homogeneous microstructure. It contains 0.3% carbon, 15% chromium, 0.5% nitrogen, 0.95% molybdenum, 0.5% nickel and 1.0% manganese. Manufactured by ZAPP.
Blade - with Leaf-Shaped profile (leaf shape) provides a long, gently curved cutting edge. The serrated Spyder Edge blade is derived with a Full Flat Grind. Enlarged 14mm SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) for ambidextrous thumb opening. Notched thumb ramp jimping (thumb rest) on the back of the blade and ForeFinger Choil (forefinger undercut between the handle and cutting edge) make the knife easier to operate. The refined, precision-machined Back-Lock blade locking mechanism guarantees the peak of precision and improved smoothness of operation.
Spyder Edge - (Spyderco patent) serrated blade usually has a few millimeters of smooth blade on the tip side. The Spyder blade consists of alternating one large and two small teeth, the so-called two-step. This pattern increases the length of the cutting edge by up to 24% compared to a straight blade. Ideal for cutting, inflicting deep wounds, cutting through hard materials including bone.
Handle - full-length wraps in light green color. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), a fiberglass-reinforced nylon material, it features Bi-Directional Texturing (Bi-Directional Texturing) non-slip facings for excellent grip with gloves as well as greasy or wet hands. Sturdy titanium clip with four-way (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. Spine Jimping notch on the handle increases comfort and grip security. In the back of the linings lanyard hole, a hole for a lanyard or cord.
