D2 - high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 59-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade - Drop Point type coated with DSW (Dark Stone Washed) matte finish. The ideal cutting edge along its entire length provides exceptional cutting performance with full force, transferring power to the blade stab, guarantees better point strength. The solid blade combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind) gives almost razor-level cutting properties combined with extreme durability. A low descending guard prevents fingers from slipping on the blade while working. A notched section of the blade's back, the spine jimping ramp positions the thumb, giving solid support, making it easier to operate the knife. The cutting edge starts with a small notch which makes sharpening superbly easy.
The handle - made of green Canvas Micarta laminate (pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin), screwed directly to the steel, provides a virtually indestructible construction. The rounded shape of the covers eliminates sharp edges, which have been heavily textured to improve grip. The unique ergonomics of the handle allows the knife to be held both ways, especially for users who appreciate an inverted grip. On the back of the handle there is a skull crusher and a lanyard hole, a hole for attaching a cord.
Sheath - with additional pocket for accessories: sharpener or flint. Made of water-resistant Cordura®. The snap-fastened holster well protects the knife from falling out. Allows attachment under the straps of the M.O.L.L.E. (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) system, or on the belt. The lower part of the sheath with a DuraFlex buckle-type thigh band with rubber reinforcement prevents the sheath from moving on the thigh.
