- S-THIL Black Warfare Special Edition. Spare tactical knife of monolithic construction, milled from 5mm bar of N690 steel. The Spear Point blade has been heat treated to 58 HRC for the best combination of edge retention and strength...

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
The S-THIL Black Warfare Special Edition, a special edition of the S-THIL model, is a backup (back-up) tactical knife of monolithic construction, milled from 5mm bar of Bohler N690 steel. The Spear Point blade has been heat-treated to 58 HRC, for the best balance between edge retention and strength. Thanks to the false blade, it is very effective in stabbing and piercing. Full-length blood-draining slotted full-length armor grooves from the blade to the handle on both sides of the wedge. Developed in collaboration with designer Thilo Arnd Schiller.
N690 - Corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. It features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - sharp with Spear Point profile, 5 mm thick with a blood groove (making the knife even lighter and stronger) and a false blade that increases piercing properties. Milled from Böhler N690 stainless steel with a hardness of 58 HRC, the blade is coated with a non-reflective coating in a Geotech Camo pattern. On the back of the blade a short ramp for the thumb (Thumb Ramp).
Black Warfare - a special camouflage version using the innovative and original Geotech Camo pattern, created by laser engraving.
Handle - an extension of the blade. Finished with a diamond-shaped spike, skull crusher. It can be used to hit specific points of the body, safely breaking glass or other hard materials. The finger milling at the bottom of the handle, characteristic of Extrema Ratio, improves the ergonomics of the grip, and also creates a mini guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. The long hole in the back of the handle can be used to create a braid on the handle (e.g. from paracord) or as a Lanyard Hole.
Sheath - the molded nylon sheath was designed to be extremely flat and have very small side dimensions. The symmetrical design of the knife allows it to be inserted into the sheath with the cutting edge facing right or left, so it can be used by right or left-handed people according to their preference. A system of holes on the edge of the scabbard allows for quick attachment of the sheath under the straps of the M.O.L.L.E. system. The included UltiClips allow for even more individualization of the fit of the carrying system to suit one's preferences. A hole in the bottom of the sheath allows water to drain in case it gets inside.
The S-THIL Black Warfare Special Edition knife is delivered in a waterproof IP67-certified polypropylene technical case with a pressure valve, two UltiClip clips and a double-sided sharpening stone (ceramic/synthetic diamond).
