Kubey - one of the largest manufacturers of high-quality knives at a great price! The company's motto is “An Edge Above the Rest”. By using high-speed CNC machine tools, milling machines, laser cutting and custom hand finishing, the brand focuses on quality workmanship and an innovative approach to design.
AUS-10 - Japanese stainless steel, often compared to 440C series steel, and for good reason, as the compositions are similar, but these minor differences make AUS-10 harder (hardened usually to around 60 HRC) and dulls more slowly, without losing its rust resistance. Knives made of this steel are relatively cheap and will be a great choice if our budget is not too high and we care about stainless.
Blade - sheepsfoot type, wide, finished with a scratch-masking and glare-eliminating Blackwashed method. The slightly curved cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade and the long grain provide high strength while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the mechanism and support the opening of the blade with a quick index-finger flipper (flipper) when opened acting as a stag. We can also open the knife with the grain or gravity. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. Button-Lock mechanism.
Handle - G10 (fiberglass compressed with synthetic resin) grips. Textured for improved grip confidence, bolted to the knife's steel frame. The so-called open-backed design without the typical backspacer, fastened together with steel spacers for easy cleaning. The simple, sturdy design gives assurance of many years of use. A deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip security. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized manufacturer's logo. A two-position (right/left) steel deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).
