N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - sheepsfoot type, wide, finished masking fine scratches and anti-glare using Bead Blasted method. The slightly curved cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind guarantees excellent cutting properties. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the knife's opening mechanism. The dual thumb stud in the wedge allows both right- and left-handed people to open it effortlessly. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. Liner-Lock mechanism.
Handle - G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) facings with a unique two-tone design. Textured for improved grip confidence, bolted to the knife's steel frame. The so-called open-backed design without the typical backspacer, fastened together with steel spacers for easy cleaning. The simple, sturdy design gives assurance of many years of use. A deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip security. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized manufacturer's logo. A two-position (right/left) steel deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
