M390 Microclean® - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it adequately retains its edge shape, so that the blade remains sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another advantage is the resistance to the formation of a 'wire' during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), hardened between 59-61 HRC, vacuum and cryogenic treatment and double tempering. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - drop point type, finished in an elegant Satin method giving a semi-gloss effect. The long cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade and the high, flat grind give excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the opening of the blade with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper) that functions as a stinger when opened. The entire blade is locked with a modern Liner Lock.
Handle - made from two pieces of solid 6AL4V titanium milled with 3D CNC machine tools together with a perfectly fitted carbon fibre insert. The solid titanium backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire construction. The chamfered edges of the covers and the forefinger groove eliminate sharp edges and improve the ergonomics of the grip. The pivot is decorated with a stylised screw. The single-position (right) deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket in the tip-up position (blade tip up). Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
Carrying case - the knife is packaged in a zipped nylon soft pouch with the brand's logo for safe carrying and storage of the folder.
