154CM - a high-quality stainless tool steel used in the manufacture of knives and other cutting tools. A premium steel that offers excellent edge retention, strength and corrosion resistance. Developed by US Crucible Industries, which specialises in producing alloys for industrial applications. It contains a combination of carbon, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium, which give it exceptional properties. The name '154CM' stands for 1.54% carbon and the inclusion of the elements chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo). It is often compared to other premium steels such as S30V, S35VN or CPM 20CV. Knives made from 154CM steel are prized by enthusiasts and professionals alike for their superior performance and durability.
Blade - drop point type, finished in an elegant Satin method giving a semi-gloss effect. The long cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade and the high, flat grind give excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the opening of the blade with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper) that acts as a stinger when opened. A section of the back of the blade perfectly stylised with the vertebrae of a prehistoric creature. The whole is locked with a modern Liner Lock.
Handle - monolithic, made from a single piece of G10 (pressed fibreglass with synthetic resin) milled with 3D CNC machine tools together with a perfectly fitted bolster made of titanium. This provides incredible strength but requires the utmost skill and precision in production. The chamfered edges of the covers and the fore finger groove eliminate sharp edges and improve the ergonomics of the grip. On the back of the Handle, stylised circles referring to the "circles" on the back of the blade. The pivot is decorated with a stylised Rike Knife brand logo. The single-position (right) deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket in the tip-up position (blade tip up).
Case - the knife is packaged in a zippered nylon soft pouch with the brand logo for safe carrying and storage of the folder.
