Chad Los Banos - a native of Hawaii law enforcement. An avid Kendo Fighter, former bodybuilder and, above all, a knife designer, he specializes in handy tactical pocket knives that functionally cover a wide range of applications.
D2 - a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade - Clip Point type finished with a scratch-masking Beadblast method. Beadblast extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the Blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The blade is set on Teflon washers that support the opening mechanism, allowing the folder to be efficiently unfolded with the dual thumb stud in the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole thing is locked with the proven Frame Lock.
Handle - on the presentation side, a lightweight, textured Zytel liner, on the locking side solid stainless steel. The chamfered edges of the cover eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the jimping made on the front on the liners improves ergonomics. An open-backed design fixed with steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. A two-position, right-side deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up (tip of the blade upward) or tip-down (tip of the blade downward) position. Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
