The design was modified to include a round hole and a deep wire clip, and so the SpyOpera was born. Unique Thor™ damast pattern, Carbon Fiber on the Handle. Damasteel® Thor™ - is a powder steel made of two alloys RWL34™ and PMC27™. Both are variations of martensitic stainless steel with a minimum chromium content of 13 percent. Each alloy provides a good combination of corrosion resistance and hardenability. This combination of properties is the reason for its suitability as a knife material. Some examples of other applications include flat cutlery, jewelry and other products where corrosion resistance and hardness are important.
Blade - a slim and sharp Drop Point with a smooth Plain blade with a unique Thor™ damascus pattern on the blade. Flat Grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Enlarged 14mm SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) for ambidextrous thumb opening. The top on the back creates a comfortable support for the thumb when working. The whole thing is locked with a simple and secure back lock.
Handle - made of durable Carbon Fiber material (carbon fiber compressed under pressure with synthetic resin) and screwed to the titanium skeleton of the knife. The titanium backspacer provides a solid structure for the Back Lock mechanism. Wire clip with 2-way (top, right/left) 2-way clip positions. Enlarged cord opening in the backspacer.
