CPM S30V - corrosion resistant, mechanical stress resistant American CPM S30V powder steel with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC. This unique steel is designed for the production of premium blades and knives, manufactured at Crucible Inc. steel mills.
Compression-Lock - Spyderco's (made in USA) patented blade locking mechanism. Extremely durable, provides extreme locking power and ease of use.
Blade - with a Wharncliffe profile with an extremely sharp tip. Perfectly straight cutting edge provides exceptional cutting performance with full force, transferring power to the blade tip, ensuring better point strength. Plain blade is derived with a weight-reducing Full Flat Grind. Enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) to open the knife. Index Finger Choil (notched profiled undercut for the index finger between the Handle and the cutting edge), makes it easier to operate the knife.
Handle - profiled, covered with non-slip textured grips made of durable, temperature- and chemical-resistant G-10 plastic. Handle, despite its compact size, provides full grip and excellent control, with four fingers as in full-size folders. The folder is equipped with a twist (left/right) low-profile deep-pocket wire clip, made of molded wire, allowing to carry the knife in tip-up (tip up) position.
