D2 - a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade - Drop Point type with clearly marked belly finished with Black Stonewashed method masking small scratches. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened by gravity with a release button on one of the Handle, a double-sided peg in the blade, or with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole thing is locked with a solid button lock. Under the lock button is a spring, providing enough resistance to avoid accidental opening.
Handle - in red color. Made of aluminum, whose beveled edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the fore finger groove made on the front improves grip security.
