14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel - is the latest development in a range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!

Blade - Hawkbill type with scratch-masking Stonewashed finish covered with black coating. The concave cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper). The entire blade is locked with the proven and popular liner lock. When opened, the tapering just behind the Blade allows you to comfortably grip the knife with a clenched hand, in a push-dagger position. The blade then protrudes from between your fingers like a predatory claw!

Handle - is two pieces of white G10, a plastic that is formed from compression of fiberglass with synthetic resin. The chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the fore finger groove improves grip security. Open-backed design attached with spacer sleeves reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. A single-position, right-handed clip allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward.
