9Cr18MoV - high-grade stainless knife steel. A high content of 18.0% chromium (Cr) and an average of 0.95% carbon (C) provide high hardness and corrosion resistance, while the addition of alloying elements 1.3% molybdenum (Mo), 0.8% silicon (Si), 0.12% vanadium (V) increase strength and wear resistance. 9Cr18MoV is characterised by a high hardness in the 58-60 HRC range. Used in the manufacture of knives, including damascus and surgical blades, swords, scissors, cutlery.
Blade - wide, Drop Point type with a clearly marked belly, covered with a black protective coating. The small thickness of the blade combined with the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened by means of a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper) and an oblong hole in the blade. When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. The whole is locked with a solid Liner Lock.
Handle - made of G10, a composite fibreglass material compressed with synthetic resin. Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges for comfort, while a fore finger groove and rough surface finish improve grip confidence. The open-backed design, fixed with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The two-position right/left deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket in tip-up position.
