Warning and Safety Information for the KnifeMore

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.

Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.

A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.

When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.

Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

Solid Black Stonewashed Etching Titanium, Black Stonewashed Etching, a folding knife design from renowned Brazilian knifemaker, Gustavo T. Cecchini produced by WeKnife. The collaboration was successful, the knife won the Knife Collaboration Of The Year award at the Blade Show 2023. A perfectly crafted handle made of a single piece of titanium, superb CPM 20CV steel with an extraordinary utility mixed grind. A beautiful and powerful tool that will never let you down!

Gustavo T. Cecchini - of GTC Knives, is a Brazilian-based knife maker and designer, agricultural engineer and knife enthusiast. While repairing agricultural machinery, he came across metalworking, and as a result began making knives with a fixed blade. However, it was folders that became his passion, with their variety of mechanisms and designs. His career as a knifemaker went by in a flash bringing him more than 20 awards, several patents and a circle of friends around the world.

Etching Pattern - etching in acid which gives the surface a characteristic 3D structure.

Blade - wide Modified Spear Point blade, Etching Pattern-treated, Stonewashed scratch-masking finish, then black coated. It opens with an SLT flipper so it can be used by right and left-handed people without any problems. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth operation of the opening mechanism. A mixed grind is used here, in the rear part there is a high, concave grind for cutting and precision work, the so-called Hollow Ground Primary Bevel. In the front part, we have a high Flat Ground tip reinforcement grind. To improve piercing capabilities, an unsharpened false blade is brought out at the top. The whole thing is locked with a proven and popular frame lock with a steel insert to prevent wiping of the lock face.

Handle - from a single piece of titanium 6AI4V, machined on CNC milling machines, all subjected to Etching Pattern process. Monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength, which is a solid structural element that guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. Only a few companies are able to make the Handle with such incredible accuracy! The simplicity and solidity of the design give the assurance of many years of use. Single-position clip (right), made of titanium, allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. The pivot is made of flame-dyed titanium and decorated with a gold rim (pivot collar cap).

Case - included zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
