ExBTT-20H-KH BHT-55 is a professional hardened Easy Lock expandable baton with a length of 20" / 508 mm, equipped with a khaki H (Anti-Slip Grip) handle, a Triangular Ending, and a khaki holder and belt attachment. The triangular ring helps prevent the baton from being dropped during use and stops it from rolling on smooth surfaces. The set includes the professional BHT-55 swiveling holder, which allows the baton to deploy automatically when drawn, together with the UBC-05-A belt attachment featuring the Quick Change system for fast holder removal.
Easy Lock is a modern expandable baton locking system operated by a button located at the end of the handle. The baton can be extended in three ways: automatically when drawn from the BHT-55 holder, manually by pulling the telescopic sections out by the baton tip, or conventionally with a swinging motion. Manual extension is particularly useful when discreet deployment is required or when there is not enough space to perform a full swing. To collapse the baton, press the Easy Lock button and use the other hand to slide the telescopic sections back into the handle. The manufacturer does not recommend collapsing the baton by striking or pressing its tip against a hard surface.
Handle – H (Anti-Slip) type in khaki, featuring a rough-textured surface that reduces the risk of the baton slipping from the hand. It is made of hypoallergenic, non-slip synthetic rubber, providing a secure and comfortable grip. The durable connection between the rubber covering and the baton construction improves handle strength and provides greater control during use. The khaki colour makes it easy to match the baton with tactical clothing and equipment.
BHT-55 holder – designed for hardened ESP Easy Lock 20" and 24" expandable batons, both with a Round Ending (ExBT) and Triangle Ending (ExBTT), fitted with H (Anti-Slip) or HE (Ergonomic) handles. The holder provides two methods of drawing the baton. The first, standard method allows the baton to be removed while still collapsed. The second method, used after the baton has been fully pressed into the holder, allows it to extend automatically while being drawn. For this function to work correctly, the baton must be fully inserted into the holder so that its tip is retained by the mechanism located at the bottom. When the baton is drawn, the tip remains temporarily held in place, causing the telescopic sections to extend and lock automatically. If automatic deployment is not required, the mechanism can be removed from the lower part of the holder. The baton can be carried vertically, horizontally or at a selected angle, depending on the user's preference, improving carrying comfort and allowing quick access.
UBC-05-A – a slide-on belt attachment with the Quick Change system, allowing the BHT-55 holder to be quickly removed and replaced with another compatible ESP holder, for example for a flashlight, magazine or pepper spray. The UBC-05-A clip remains attached to the belt, while holders equipped with the Quick Change System can be exchanged quickly depending on the user's needs. The attachment is designed for belts 38–56 mm wide and, after removing the adjustment element, can also be used with belts up to 68 mm wide, including wide-duty belts. The design allows the installed holder to rotate through a full 360° and to be locked in one of 16 predefined positions.
Steel – the telescopic sections are manufactured from seamless cold-drawn steel tubes, grade ČSN 12060 (Czech standard), equivalent to CK55 (DIN 17200) and C55E (EN 10083-1 + A1). Individual tubes are hardened to a hardness ranging from 47 ± 2 HRC to 51 ± 2 HRC, depending on the structural component. This provides high resistance to deformation during intensive use.
Coating – the telescopic metal sections of the baton are finished with a black nickel-zinc coating (Black Ni-Zn), increasing surface resistance to wear.
