N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Achieves a hardness of 58 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - extremely sharp, solid 4 mm thick false blade with Drop Point shape with clearly marked blade belly, which provides excellent cutting edge geometry with low friction. It's made of good sharpness retention, durable, high-cobalt N690 stainless steel with a hardness of 58 HRC made at the Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks in Austria. The blade is coated with a non-reflective matte MIL-C-13924 BURNISHING coating. The smooth Plain blade was derived with a Flat grind. On the back of the blade, a long notched thumb ramp (spine jimping) facilitates efficient operation of the knife.
Double Blade locking system: a solid Bolt-Lock mechanism and an additional safety feature, a slider that must be moved to completely lock the Blade. Opening and closing the blade should be done with both hands to minimize the risk of self-injury, as the blade, due to its weight, is a real guillotine. Blade with shifted center of gravity also allows you to open the knife with a decisive flick of the wrist.
