Kyle Lamb has spent most of his adult life in the service of the United States Army, 21 years of service, in particular over 15 years in the 1st SFOD-D Delta Force. His life has revolved around accurate carbines, reliable pistols and very sharp tools used in battlefield conditions around the world. Lamb spent many years designing firearms, firearm accessories and knives. In the past few years, he began forging tomahawks and knives to expand his design capabilities. Lamb is an avid hunter, shooter and fisherman. He is the founder of Viking Tactics, Inc. and designer of many of the products it sells. His motto is "Function over fancy."
CPM 20CV - one of the best tool steels, a premium American martensitic stainless steel. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Designed to provide better wear resistance while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. This super steel is comparable to Bohler's M390 steel or Carpenter's CTS-204P. According to some knife manufacturers, 20CV is the best of these three steels in terms of edge retention. It consists of 19.0% carbon (C), 20.0% chromium (Cr), 4.0% vanadium (V), 1.0% molybdenum (Mo) and 0.6% tungsten (W). The high percentage of chromium with a touch of molybdenum makes 20CV one of the best high-end corrosion-resistant steels.
Blade - Reverse Tanto type finished with a scratch-masking Stonewashed method and then black coated. It is opened with a flipper flipper when opened acting as a hilt, so it can be easily used by right and left-handed people. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth operation of the opening mechanism. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The whole is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle - is thick pieces of 6AL4V titanium, on the presentation side artfully milled in the "diamond pattern" known from the grips on firearms handles. The black base has been anodized to gold on the surface, creating a beautiful gold-black composition. Only a few companies are able to make a Handle with such incredible accuracy! The so-called open-backed design fixed with titanium spacer sleeves reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The simplicity and robustness of the design give you the assurance of many years of use. The two-position clip (right/left), made of titanium, allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position (the set includes an additional clip suitable for mounting on the left side, along with mounting screws. The pivot is decorated with a stylized manufacturer's logo and, together with the screws, has been finished in bronze.
Case - included is a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
