CPM S20CV - one of the best tool steels in the world, American premium martensitic stainless steel. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries according to the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. The CPM process yields a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Designed to provide better wear resistance while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. This super steel is comparable to Bohler's M390 steel or Carpenter's CTS-204P. According to some knife manufacturers, 20CV is the best of these three steels in terms of edge retention. It consists of 19.0% carbon, 20.0% chromium, 4.0% vanadium, 1.0% molybdenum and 0.6% tungsten. The high percentage of chromium with a touch of molybdenum makes 20CV one of the best high-end corrosion-resistant steels.
Blade - a wide Drop Point type blade, finished masking minor scratches with Stonewashed sandblasting and then black coated. It opens with a flipper flipper so it can be easily used by right and left-handed people. The short grain with holes structurally reinforces the blade giving it a visual lightness. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth operation of the opening mechanism. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind), gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. To improve piercing capabilities, an unsharpened false blade is brought out at the top. On the back you will find a perfectly executed "jimping", a notch on which you can place your finger thus improving your grip and control of the knife during use. The whole is locked with a proven and popular nested frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle - is a thick piece of 6AL4V titanium, beautifully milled with the help of CNC machine tools. On both sides there is an inlay (insert) made of Arctic Storm Fat Carbon. Only a few companies are able to make the Handle with such incredible accuracy! The so-called open-backed design fixed with titanium spacer sleeves reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. The simplicity and robustness of the design give the assurance of many years of use. Single-position clip (right), made of titanium, allows carrying the knife in tip-up position. The pivot axis decorated on one side with the manufacturer's gold logo, on the other with a flame-dyed titanium rim (pivot collar cap).
