It uses Bohler N690 stainless steel, which is extremely durable and holds its sharpness for a long time, even under heavy use. The Handle is made of carbon fiber, which gives it lightness and strength. The Kyomi Carbon Fiber, Satin model is also an expression of style and elegance. Its design is both practical and aesthetically appealing. It is an ideal choice for those who are looking for a reliable tool that will last for many years.
Jesper Voxnaes began creating knives in 1989, when he was just 18 years old, forging each blade completely on his own. His unique style stems from the meeting of his roots in world-renowned Scandinavian design with his passion for American knifemaking. This original approach quickly made his knives very popular, especially in the US, so much so that he was able to expand his business with machines he made himself. Since then, he has been a professional knifemaker and has worked as a designer with many top knife companies, achieving great success in many different fields.
N690Co - a high-carbon stainless knife steel with cobalt added for structural uniformity. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Carbon (C) 1.07% and cobalt (Co) 1.65% make it a very hard steel. It has been vacuum hardened and then freeze hardened to a hardness of 58-59 HRC. At this level of hardness, it provides good cutting edge retention and excellent wear resistance. so the blades stay sharp longer. Due to its high chromium (Cr) level of 17.3%, blades made of this steel will not rust, even when used in damp, wet or salty environments. Manufactured at the Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks in Austria.
Blade - Drop Point type with clearly marked belly emphasizes satin finish. The small thickness of the 4mm blade, combined with a high, flat grind, gives extreme cutting properties while maintaining above-average strength. Ball bearing system aids in the smooth opening of the blade, which can be opened via a hole in the wedge or with a flipper flipper. The entire blade is locked with a proven frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle - one side is a thick piece of black Carbon Fiber (carbon fiber compressed under pressure with synthetic resin), and the other side is solid titanium. The covers were attached to a CNC-milled titanium backspacer anodized blue, which provides the desired rigidity and strength to the whole structure. CNC-machined double-sided (right/left), two-position deep carry clip allows to carry the knife discreetly in tip-up position (blade tip up). Above the clip a lanyard hole, an oval slot for a cord.
