CPM MagnaCut - powder stainless steel produced by the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM, MagnaCut was able to create a steel that combines unique properties like no other knife steel. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is no other steel on the world market today that offers a comparable combination of superior properties. This unique steel is produced at Crucible® Industries' American steel mills.

Blade - Trailing Point type with a striking Two Tone finish. The grind finished with a stonewashed treatment, which mask minor scratches from use, while the remaining surface is satin-finished. The long cutting edge converges toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings assist in opening the blade with a index-finger flipper. A section of the blade's back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.

Handle - is two pieces of solid 6AL4V titanium with striking Marble Carbon Fiber inserts. The chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the fore finger groove improves grip security. The titanium backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire construction. A single-position, right-handed titanium clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward.

Case - the knife is packed in a zippered nylon soft pouch with the brand's logo for safe carrying and storage of the folder.
