Andrew Demko - owner and founder of Demko Knives, first started forging chisels in 1988, when he was in seventh grade. 4034SS - a stainless tool steel produced at Krupp Steel mills, widely used in the manufacture of knives and tools. It combines corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening and good mechanical strength. Its carbon content of 0.43% (C) provides moderate hardness and wear resistance, while the addition of 12-14% chromium (Cr) ensures good corrosion resistance, especially in high humidity environments. After hardening, it reaches 54-56 HRC, which ensures easy sharpening and good edge holding.
Blade - Clip Point type, finished with an elegant satin finish. The straight cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance.
