CPM MagnaCut powdered stainless steel manufactured using the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. Blade - machine ground D/E (Double Edge Dagger) type with a double-edged symmetrical blade, serrated on one side. The blade with an elegant Two Tone finish, the grinds coated with a black coating, the rest of the blade satin-finished, brought out with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), providing excellent cutting properties. As a result, while maintaining high strength, the knife has excellent piercing properties. The strong mechanism of extending / retracting the blade with the help of a moled Thumb Slide, a stepped slide, requires for safety the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The method of opening provides seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.
Handle - made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. The distinctive texture of the Handle imitating the surface of a fragmentation grenade (Frag Pattern), in addition to visual value, makes the knife does not slip in the hand during use. There are notches (jimping) on the back and bottom of the handle for a more secure grip. The slim profile and milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in any pocket in tip-down position (blade tip down). The Handle is finished with a lanyard hole, a rope hole and a glass breaker.
