Para Military 2 Cobalt Blue G10, Satin iconic Spyderco knife , a compact version of the Military folder . Made in elite Cobalt Blue color, reserved for Spyderco knives with blade made of CPM SPY27 steel . Technically improved - improved ergonomics of the Handle (thinner, tapered at the end) - elongated blade tip - enlarged cord hole - four-position clip. Reinforced fully demountable torx bolted construction for easy cleaning, folder adjustment. Manufactured at the Spyderco factory in the USA (Golden, Colorado).

CPM SPY27 - a proprietary blend of alloys including vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, nitrogen and cobalt. The high-alloy stainless steel contains 1.4% carbon and a 1% admixture of niobium (Nb), one of the best carbides, which contributes to the steel's wear resistance. Thanks to its properties, the steel holds sharpness for a very long time and guarantees aggressive cuts for a long time. It is easy to sharpen, corrosion resistant and contains a high admixture of 14% chromium. It provides good strength and cutting edge retention, as well as a fine-grained structure. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy/ Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) method. The CPM process produces a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods.

Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) Spyderco 's (made in USA) patented blade locking mechanism. Extremely durable, it provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the Handle, it protects the knife from inadvertent locking. When releasing the lock, the fingers are not in the path of the folding Blade.

Blade - laser-cut with a modified Clip Point profile , finished with an elegant satin finish. Plain blade is brought out with a Full Flat Grind to increase cutting properties and reduce the weight of the knife. The blade offers extreme sharpness and unparalleled edge life. The enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened even with a glove. Prominent Finger Choil - a contoured undercut for the index finger and a notched thumb ramp on the back of the Blade increase control of the knife.

Handle - covered with non-slip textured grips in Cobalt Blue. Made of G10 composite (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals) screwed to steel liners using torx screws. The folder is equipped with a bolt-on metal clip with four-way (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. In the rear part of the grip an enlarged hole (lanyard hole) for pulling alanyard or safety line.
