Yipper Black G10, Black Top Shield, one of the latest folding knives from MKM designed by well-known knifemaker - Ben Petersen. The ergonomic Handle is made of G10 composite, the blade is made of MagnaCut, a modern tool steel, which is now considered one of the best on the market. Ben Petersen came into contact with the knife industry in 2011, supplementing his college education with a casual job making YouTube videos. The vortex of the knife world drew him in and he spent the next eight years working full-time in the industry at a knife retailer and manufacturer. He dealt with thousands of knives, recording more than 1,000 knife videos and producing knife marketing content for the entire industry. During his travels, Ben developed a particular preference for knives, such as blades under 3 inches and a fondness for blue Handle grips in simple designs. After years of advertising other people's knives, Ben created his first EC design called “Banter.” It is a thoughtful combination of all the features Ben loves in knives. When he's not working on knives, Ben spends most of his time backpacking, biking and exploring his home state of Utah with his wife and four children. And like him, they all like knives, too.

CPM MagnaCut powdered stainless steel produced using the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process hardened to between 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is no other steel on the world market today that offers a comparable combination of superior properties. This unique steel is produced at Crucible® Industries' U.S. steel mills.

Crossbar Lock - acrossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal cutouts in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the Blade from above, preventing it from moving back. This beam is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling back the locking bar, the ends of which are accessible through cutouts in the grips on the sides of the Handle grips. In the closed position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the back of the Blade, preventing it from opening on its own. Advantages of the Crossbar Lock include resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both right and left hands, and lightweight operation.

Blade - wide, Sheepsfoot type with a slightly marked belly, coated with black, non-reflective Top Shield® coating. Ball bearings support the smooth operation of the opening mechanism of the wedge, which can be opened with a double-sided pin in the wedge (dual thumb studs). The small thickness of the wedge, combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind), gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. A section of the blade's back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole is locked with an intuitive Crossbar Lock.

Handle - made of G10 composite , practically indestructible plastic insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage, beautifully milled with the help of CNC machine tools. The open-backed design, so called, fixed with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The simple, secure design gives you the assurance of many years of use. The two-position (right/left) stainless steelclip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position. Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.

Additional accessories - torx key T6/T8.

Case - the knife is packed in a zippered soft nylon case with the brand's logo. It is used for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
