14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills . An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Blade - with Reverse Tanto proflie, finished masking minor scratches with Black Stonewashed method. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the smooth operation of the opening mechanism of the wedge, which can be opened with a double-sided pin in the wedge (dual thumb stud). On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid nested liner lock. The line of the cutting edge falls below the bottom edge of the Handle, so you can effectively work with the knife on a cutting board without painfully bruising your knuckles.
Black Stonewashed – a finishing method that combines two techniques. First, the blade is coated with a non-reflective black layer (Dark Coating), followed by a Stonewashed after the black coating is applied, the blade is subjected to a process of “stone bath”, which makes minor scratches created during use less visible. The end result is a unique aged look with a matte dark finish that is both stylish and practical.
Handle grips - grips made of G10 composite , a virtually indestructible material, insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage.
