D2 - high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 58-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
PTFE Black - widely used in the coating industry , polytetrafluoroethylene is an ultra-fine, low molecular weight product processed through a special process. It is characterized by excellent chemical and weathering and temperature resistance, thermal stability, non-stickiness, electrical insulation, fire resistance and self-lubrication. Thanks to the use of polytetrafluoroethylene as a blade coating material, friction during use is reduced, thus reducing the need to use force during all kinds of work. PTFE-coated blades provided 22% lower average force and 26% lower maximum force compared to chrome-coated blades.
Blade - Tanto type , finished with a scratch-masking bath in fine Stonewashed pebbles , and then coated with black PTFE coating . The thickness of the blade combined with a high flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting properties combined with high durability. The blade is opened with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent your hand from slipping on the blade. To maintain full control of the blade, there is a notched thumb rest on the back of the upper jimping wedge. The entire blade is locked with the proven and popular liner lock.
Handle - grips made of G10 composite, practically indestructible plastic, insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. The rough texture and milled texture support a secure grip. The solid backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. The simplicity and solidity of the construction give the assurance of many years of use. The single-position clip (right), made of stainless steel, allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position. Above the clip a lanyard hole, a place for a safety or decorative cord.
