Warning and Safety Information for the KnifeMore

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.

Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.

A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.

When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.

Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

AD20.5 Shark Foot Digi Camo G10, Stonewashed CPM S35VN, the result of many years of work and experience of Andrew Demko, a long-time designer at Cold Steel. A compact folding knife designed for the toughest jobs. A true tool, characterized not only by its robustness and power, but also by its unique design. Ergonomic handle made of G10 composite and blade made of CPM S35VN, one of the most popular and well-developed steels used in knives today. One of the most important elements of the knife is its lock. Shark-Lock™ is an innovative mechanism that is considered one of the strongest in the world. Thanks to it, the knife is not only safe to use, but also ensures that it will cope with even the most difficult tasks. It is a unique example of a compact EDC (Every Day Carry) knife, an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable everyday tool.

Andrew Demko, owner and founder of Demko Knives, first began forging chisels in 1988, when he was in seventh grade. He immediately realized that this was his passion and started forging knives almost immediately. Like many blacksmiths, Andrew began his journey in a garage, grinding the shapes of blades and sharpening them on a small grinder. Andrew's passion for engineering and attention to detail were noticed by the well-known company Cold Steel. At Cold Steel, Andrew developed some of the most innovative and strongest locking mechanisms in the industry. The legendary Tri-Ad Lock, Scorpion Lock, and recently the dream of one-handed operators – Shark-Lock.

CPM S35VN – American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best steels for blade production. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries using Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM). The CPM process produces a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and toughness compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition is balanced to consist of 0.5% niobium (Nb) carbides together with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0% chromium (Cr) carbides. Replacing some of the niobium carbides with vanadium carbides makes the steel about 15-20% harder than S30V without sacrificing wear resistance, and it is also easier to machine and polish. The improved toughness of CPM S35VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.

Shark-Lock™ mechanism on the back of the knife is operated by a ramp-like “fin”. Opening the blade causes the spring-loaded locking arm to move up and then into the notch in the pin, placing it under the locking pin. What is unique is that the locking mechanism moves back and forth while also moving up and down. This allows for an increase in the size of the contact surface with the blade, providing better mechanical strength in a specific area. And because the drive spring, which moves the locking element up into the locked position, is located in the locking arm itself, it will not be exposed to dirt and debris.

Blade - Shark Foot type, finished with a Stonewashed coating to hide scratches. The straight cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade ensures high durability, while the high, flat grind gives the cutting edge perfect geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearings assist in opening the blade with a dual thumb stud or oval thumb hole. The whole is locked with the Shark-Lock™, which is considered to be the strongest locking system in the world.

Handle - grips made of G10 composite, a virtually indestructible material that is resistant to weather, chemicals and mechanical damage. The beveled edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and the characteristic surface texture improves grip. A single-position, right-handed clip allows the knife to be carried in a tip-up position, with the tip of the blade facing up. A clip for left-handers is included in the set.
