This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
The Storm Karambit Black Aluminum, Black is a precision-engineered tool, designed for both everyday use and demanding field tasks. The distinctive Hawkbill profile blade, made of Bohler N690Co steel, ensures maximum cutting performance. The hardened steel with increased corrosion resistance and exceptional edge retention guarantees effectiveness even with intensive use. The blade is covered with a black coating that minimizes light reflections and increases abrasion resistance. The ergonomic handle made of anodized aluminum alloy ensures a secure grip in any situation, and the integrated ring supports dynamic blade control. The knife can be opened in three ways: blade-quick, flipper, Emerson Wave and hole in the blade. The proven Liner Lock mechanism stabilizes the blade in the open position, eliminating the risk of accidental closure. Robustness, functionality and excellent workmanship - these are the features that distinguish The Storm Karambit.
Karambit - a type of knife that originated in Indonesia, with roots in Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by a finger ring and a sickle-shaped blade that is extremely effective at cutting - it mimics the way an eagle's claw or a tiger's claw tears. Used as a work knife and for defense.
Emerson Opener (Emerson Wave) patented by Ernest Emerson, a hook on the back of the blade that allows the blade to be opened quickly when removing the knife from a pocket by hooking the pocket edge.
N690Co - cobalt-rich 1.65% (Co), corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo) and vanadium 0.10% (V). Developed to provide better wear resistance compared to the original Böhler N690 steel, but with a higher cobalt content of 1.50% (Co) for structural homogeneity. It is characterized by extremely high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world. Hardened to 58-61 HRC. Produced by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - with an aggressive hawkbill profile, the rounded shape of the blade is characterized by its great effectiveness and cutting speed. The hawk bill profile mimics the tearing action of an eagle's talon or a tiger's claw, piercing and cutting at the same time. The plain blade has an ultra-thin tip and perfect curvature for maximum cutting efficiency. The Emerson Wave hook forms a ramp on which you can rest your thumb when using the knife. The knife can be opened with the Emerson Wave hook, a flipper, or an oval hole in the handle, suitable for use with gloves. The lock is a proven and reliable Liner Lock.
Handle - grips made of aluminum, a durable metal resistant to mechanical damage and chemicals. It is decorated with a graphic storm motif. The open-backed design reduces weight and simplifies cleaning. Spine jimping - grooves on the back of the handle for improved grip. Clip (left/right) for carrying the knife in tip-up position with the tip facing up. Handle ends with finger ring (Back Ring) which makes it easier to rotate the folder around your finger, enabling you to perform traditional techniques. It can also be used as an improvised glass breaker.
Additional accessories - the set includes an additional clip, fixing screws and a Torx screwdriver.
