Cypher II D/E Signature Red X-51 Aluminum, Distressed Black is the second generation of the legendary OTF (Out The Front) created in collaboration between Anthony Marfione and Deryk Monroe. Representing the pinnacle of advanced technology, the Cypher, has undergone a comprehensive upgrade. An innovative dual blade drive mechanism provides smoother operation than ever before in OTF knives.

The redesigned Cypher II makes numerous improvements that enhance both aesthetics and functionality. Providing superior ergonomics and grip comfort is a stylish jimping, a titanium clip with ceramic ball for carrying convenience, a boltless body, an integrated glass striker and an updated slide recess design for a streamlined aesthetic. With its size and fast blade extension mechanism, the Cypher sets a new standard for the iconic combination of style and utility.

Deryk DC Munroe is the creator of MunroeKnives, who has had a lifelong passion for guns. His roots date back to 1984, and in 1997 he began a full-time career as a knife maker, constantly developing his skills and style. Known for his superb folding knives, Munroe is working with Tony Marfione on Cypher, the second masterpiece born from their partnership.

Signature Series - Microtech's elite line of products designed for buyers who are looking for a more exclusive touch to the much-loved Core Series production models (logo with claws on the knife). Top-quality materials and finishes are often used in the production of Signature Series knives. The line also includes themed knives such as Bounty Hunter, Memento Mori and Molon Labe. A distinctive feature is the marking with the dagger logo on the Handle and Anthony Marfione's signature on the clip.

M390MK - thanks to the cooperation of Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech was created. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel for better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Blade - machine ground, Dagger D/E (Double Edge) type, sharpened on both sides. Coated in black and then naturally aged using the Distressed method . The blade is brought out with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), providing excellent cutting properties. The long grain further strengthens the blade. The strong mechanism of extending / retracting the blade with the help of a moled Thumb Slide, a stepped thumb slide requires for safety the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The method of opening provides seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.

Handle - made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from 6061-T6 aluminum. X-51 is a new design on the Handle, resembling snake skin. The surface texture of the Handle and the deep notches (jimping) on it make the knife non-slip in the hand during use. The slim profile and milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket, in tip-down (blade tip down) position. Equipped with a smooth rollerball, thanks to which the knife easily slides into the pocket without damaging the edges of the pocket. The Handle is finished with glass breaker, there is also a hole to weave a decorative cord.
